Hangeul Designer LEE GEON MAAN Participates in “2015 Korea Grand Sale” Hangeul Designer LEE GEON MAAN Participates in “2015 Korea Grand Sale” to raise the awareness of Korea through the cultural items of Korea. “2015 Korea Grand Sale,” a shopping tourism festival, is held for 84 days from 1st December in 2014 to 22nd February in 2015. The Korea Grand Sale is a shopping and tourism activation promotion that is hosted by Visit Korea Committee and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Foreign tourists are provided not only with the shopping benefits, but also with the various experiences of Korean cultures including food, accommodation and performances. Designer LEE GEON MAAN is a representative Hangeul design brand and is going to present various fashion accessories including handbags, wallets and scarfs. Also it will give benefits for the foreign customers by offering 20% discount on all products and a gift of Hangeul handkerchief for those who purchase over 100,000 won. During the period, the ‘888 gift event’ is opened in Korea Grand Sale event booths. During the event, after every 8 days, the host conducts lucky draw to grant various gifts like round trip flight tickets for the customers who collects 8 stamps from booths of 8 different participating companies. Also in celebration of the partnership promotion with Japan Shopping Festival, an event of giving out free shopping bags for Japanese visitors is going to be held. All of these various events encourages tourists to engage in shopping. Designer Lee GEON MAAN said that its purpose is to spread the excellence of Hangeul design in ‘2015 Korea Grand Sale’ and to provide various shopping benefits to foreign tourists for them to get more familiar with Korean brands. Moreover, on the 16th of October, Visit Korea Committee has signed a business agreement with JSTO for a partnership promotion for shopping and tourism, at Tokyo Imperial Hotel in Japan, in order to activate the tourism exchange between Korea and Japan. They have agree upon cooperating for a goal of sharing the shopping and tourism promotion information and promoting each other’s events through travel associations, hotels and other relevant organizations, to ultimately maximize the number of shopping tourists between the two countries. |
