[Hangeul] Story of Sejong
Permanent exhibition hall, where the life story and achievements of Sejong the Great, the 4th King of Chosun dynasty, who the Korean people respect and proud of the most, in the cutting-edge exhibition techniques. Exhibition Contents Where you can learn about the excellence and beauty of Hangeul! Perfect venue for historical education! Sejong the Great, a good and wise king, memorial hall, Sejong Story! The Story of Sejong Exhibition Hall is arranged in 6 different zones. 1. Human, Sejong - The life story of Sejong is described, including the place of born, family relationship, personal values and hobbies. 2. People-Oriented Idea - The love of his people of Sejong the Great is introduced on a complex video material about systems like slave maternity leave and prohibition of charging the leaders. 3. Creation of Hangeul - The major Hangeul literature materials from Chosun dynasty, including Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon, Eonhaebon and Wolincheongangjigok, are exhibited. - Hangeul, the pride of Korea that is being loved by people in this digital era, and the principles in creation thereof are introduced. - Hangeul-related activities, taking picture and signing the visitor’s book are available on touch screens. 4. Military Policy - Singijeon, created in Sejong Era, and a video of actual firing of it are displayed. - Daemado conquest, Leemanjoo suppression and 4gun 6jin policy are introduced. - An animation (3 mins) regarding the peaceful diplomacy techniques of Sejong the Great is viewed. 5. Science in Sejong Era - Interpretation on the Angbuilgu (sun clock) and the Cheonsang Yeolcha Bunyajido are provided and the 3D holograms of inventions like Cheukwoogi and Honcheon are diaplayed. - An animation (3 mins) on the astronomy in the Sejong Era is viewed. 6. Our Sound, Our Music - Botaepyeong and Jeongdaeop, the creations of Sejong the Great, can be experiences through the touchscreens and Pyeonjong and Pyeonkyeong, created in the Sejong Era, can actually be played. - The royal ancestral rites music KIOSK allows visitors to try royal ancestral rites music and the composition instruments. - An animation (3 mins) on the passion of Sejong the Great in creation of the new music is viewed. Moreover, there are Sejong Theater, where you can watch the KBS drama ‘The Great Sejong,’ Hangeul library, where you can read books from various areas including those of Sejong the Great and Chungmugong Lee Soonsin, and Hangeul gallery, an exhibition hall, where you can find the works of various modern artists who work in various fields with motif of Hangeul. The Story of Sejong Exhibition Hall is arranged in 6 different zones.

1. Human, Sejong

- The life story of Sejong is described, including the place of born, family relationship, personal values and hobbies.
